Gatwick Airport to London: train, coach, taxi compared

Gatwick has one rail station at the South Terminal and three train operators using it, so the real decision is which train to board. Gatwick Express is the fastest and the dearest, while Southern and Thameslink cost less and run more often. The coach is cheapest but slow, and taxis are expensive over this distance.
