Naples Airport to the centre: Alibus, taxi, transfer compared
Capodichino is only about 6 km from Napoli Centrale and there is no metro yet, so the choice is the Alibus or a taxi. The Alibus costs 5 euros each, the fixed taxi fare to the station is 21 euros for the car, so a group of two or more often pays less in a taxi. The metro station at the airport has not opened.

- → Piazza Garibaldi (Napoli Centrale), then Immacolatella and Molo Beverello
A single costs 5 euros. Buy it from the ticket machines at the arrivals exit, from the driver, in the Unico Campania app or with a contactless card at the validator, and validate it as soon as you board. The ride to Piazza Garibaldi takes 15 minutes in light traffic and the bus goes on to the cruise port, about 35 minutes from the airport. ANM lists the same hours every day. The 5 euro integrated version is valid for 90 minutes on other city transport.

The city's tariff sets 21 euros per taxi to the Centro Direzionale, Napoli Centrale and Piazza Garibaldi area, 24 euros to Piazza Municipio and Molo Beverello, and 28.50 euros to Via Partenope. The fare covers night, holiday, luggage and airport supplements. Tell the driver you want the fixed fare before you set off, and ask for the receipt. Motorway tolls and the 5 euro minivan supplement for more than four passengers are extra.

A pre-booked sedan for up to three passengers starts at about 45 euros, with night pickups usually costing more. The driver tracks your flight, so a delay does not change the price. It costs about twice the official taxi, and buys a named driver who is already waiting.

Arriving late at night
At 00:30 the Alibus has gone, because the last departure from the airport is at 00:00. The shared taxi publishes no hours, so do not rely on it. Use the rank outside arrivals, where the fixed fare of 21 euros to Napoli Centrale already includes the night supplement. Ask for the fixed fare before you get in, and for a receipt. A pre-booked car avoids the queue and fixes the price in advance.
See the comparison →4 people, 4 suitcasesTravelling as a group of four
Four people on the Alibus pay 20 euros in total, almost the same as one taxi at 21 euros, which carries up to four passengers and goes door to door. The shared taxi at 6 euros each costs 24 euros for four and waits for three passengers. From two people upward the fixed taxi fare matches or beats the bus, and with bags it is much easier. A private sedan seats three, so four people need the taxi or a larger vehicle.

- Ask for the fixed fare, the tariffa predeterminata, before you get in. Without it the meter runs and adds a 5 euro airport supplement.
- The metro line 1 station at Capodichino has not opened. The city has given no confirmed date, with the link expected in 2027, so do not plan around it.
- Validate the Alibus ticket as soon as you board and keep it until you get off.
- Alibus stops at Piazza Garibaldi, in front of Napoli Centrale, so you can walk straight to the metro or the trains.
- Buy the Alibus ticket at the machines by the arrivals exit before boarding. The driver sells them too, but queues slow the bus.
- Take only a white taxi from the rank. Drivers who approach you in the arrivals hall are not licensed.
