CDG to Orly airport transfer: RER B, metro 14, taxi
There is no direct train or coach between the two airports, so the trip runs through central Paris by RER B and metro 14, or by road. On public transport it costs 14 euros per person for a ride of about 95 minutes door to door. A taxi is metered at roughly 80 to 105 euros and takes under an hour, which is the saving for two or more people with bags.

- → Orly Airport station, linked to the terminals
Ride the RER B toward Paris for about 35 minutes to Châtelet-Les Halles, then change to metro line 14 toward Aéroport d'Orly, about 25 minutes. The change at Châtelet is a long walk, with escalators, so allow 10 minutes. The other route is RER B to Antony and the Orlyval shuttle, on the same ticket. Île-de-France Mobilités lists a single Paris Region <> Airports ticket at 14 euros that covers both airports, so one ticket should do the whole trip. Check at the machine, because a second ticket would double the cost to 28 euros.

The fixed airport fares cover journeys between Paris and an airport only, so CDG to Orly runs on the meter. We estimate 80 to 105 euros, depending on traffic on the A1, the ring road and the A6. The journey takes 45 to 60 minutes. Ask the driver for your terminal at Orly, and do not accept a ride from anyone inside the terminal.

A pre-booked sedan starts at about 76 euros for up to three passengers. The price is fixed at booking, so traffic and the ring road do not change it. It is usually cheaper than the metered taxi on this route, and the driver tracks your flight.

Arriving late at night
The last RER B from CDG toward Paris leaves at about 23:50, and metro line 14 closes at about 00:30 to 01:55 depending on the night, so the public route only works with a late connection that is tight at the end. After that the taxi or a pre-booked car is the only reliable way, and both work all night. Do not count on a night bus for this trip, because the Noctilien routes from CDG finish at Gare de l'Est and need further changes. The early RER B starts at about 04:50.
See the comparison →4 people, 4 suitcasesTravelling as a group of four
Four people on the RER B and metro pay 56 euros in all, and a taxi at roughly 80 to 105 euros costs 24 to 49 euros more but saves the change at Châtelet with bags. A pre-booked car at about 76 euros usually takes three passengers. For two people the train is 28 euros and the taxi about 40 to 52 euros each, so the train is still cheaper if you can manage the stairs.

- Leave at least 4 hours between landing at CDG and your Orly departure with hand baggage only. Allow 5 hours if you must collect and re-check bags, because separate tickets mean no airline protection.
- No direct coach runs between the airports. The old Le Bus Direct line stopped in 2020, so ignore guides that still list it.
- Buy the Paris Region <> Airports ticket at 14 euros on a phone or Navigo Easy card. A normal metro ticket will not work on this trip.
- Check RER B works before you travel. The line is often disrupted and metro 14 is the only fast link to Orly.
- At Orly follow the signs for the terminal your flight uses. The metro station is connected to both main terminal groups.
- At CDG, Terminal 2 and Terminals 1 and 3 have separate RER stations, so check which one you need.
