Take any RER B toward Aéroport Charles de Gaulle. The ride is about 25 to 35 minutes depending on whether the train is semi-fast or stops at every station. You need the Paris Region <> Airports ticket at 14 euros, so buy it at a machine or in the app, and keep it until you exit at the airport. Not every train goes to the airport: check the board for trains marked Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2, and note that Terminal 2 and Terminals 1 and 3 have separate stations.

The Noctilien buses run from about 00:30 to 05:30 and take a normal 2.05 euro Bus-Tram ticket. N143 goes via Saint-Denis and is the faster of the two, N140 takes a longer loop through the suburbs. Both stop at Gare du Nord, so you can board here after the RER B has stopped. Check the Île-de-France Mobilités planner for the departure times on your night, because gaps can be up to an hour.

A pre-booked sedan starts at about 54 euros for up to three passengers, so it is close to the taxi fare. The price is fixed at booking and there is no queue at the rank. Choose it if you want the pick-up time and driver arranged in advance, for example for an early flight.

Arriving late at night
The last RER B from Gare du Nord toward CDG leaves at about 00:14, and the first at about 04:56, so a train after midnight only works if you leave straight away. After that the Noctilien N140 and N143 run roughly hourly until about 05:30 on a 2.05 euro ticket. The taxi rank at the station works all night at the same 56 euro fixed fare. For an early morning flight, a taxi or pre-booked car at 4 or 5 a.m. is safer than waiting for the first train.
See the comparison →4 people, 4 suitcasesTravelling as a group of four
Four people on the RER B pay 56 euros in all, the same as the taxi fare, and the taxi takes you to the terminal door. For three people the taxi is 18.67 euros each against 14 on the train. See the comparison →Practical tips
- Buy the Paris Region <> Airports ticket at 14 euros. A normal 2.55 euro metro ticket will not open the gate at the airport.
- Check the RER B board before you go down: not every train goes to the airport. Look for CDG in the destination.
- Know your terminal first. Terminal 2 and Terminals 1 and 3 have different RER stations, and the walk to departures differs.
- The RER B is often disrupted. If it is down, the taxi at the fixed fare is the fallback.
- Taxi rank: on the station forecourt in front of the main hall, signposted. Ignore anyone who approaches you inside the station.
- There is no direct Roissybus any more. It stopped on 1 March 2026.
