Count back from the all-aboard time, and allow 30 to 40 minutes from Napoli Centrale to the gangway. The last Alibus leaves the port at 23:35, and the last from Napoli Centrale toward the airport is at 23:50. Line 1 ends at 23:00 from Sunday to Thursday, with later trains to 01:32 on Friday and Saturday nights. After that the taxi at the fixed 15.50 euros is the only simple way between the station and the port.

Walk from the terminal across Piazza Municipio to the station and ride to Garibaldi in about 8 minutes. A single costs 1.50 euros and is sold at the machines in the station. ANM publishes the line ends at 06:15 and 23:00 from Centro Direzionale from Sunday to Thursday, and the last trains on Friday and Saturday run to about 01:32. On those extended nights the corridor to the port exit at Municipio closes at 22:00. Steps and escalators make this hard with large cases.

The bus starts at the Stazione Marittima, calls at Immacolatella and Varco Pisacane, and reaches Piazza Garibaldi in about 20 minutes. A single is 5 euros and must be validated as you board. The first bus is at 05:30 and the last from the port is at 23:35. Buy at an authorised tobacconist, the ANM machines, in the Unico Campania app or by contactless card at the validator. It runs on to Capodichino airport.

The city's predetermined fare from the port or Molo Beverello to Napoli Centrale and Piazza Garibaldi is 15.50 euros per taxi. It covers luggage, night, holiday and airport supplements. A pre-booked sedan starts at about 49 euros to the station area for up to three passengers, and the price is fixed when you book. This is roughly three times the fixed taxi fare for a short trip. It suits a group with a large amount of luggage that wants a named driver at the gangway.
Practical tips
- To reach the Circumvesuviana station from the port, take metro line 1 from Municipio to Garibaldi in about 8 minutes, then follow the signs to the underground Circumvesuviana station below Piazza Garibaldi. The EAV ticket is separate.
- The Alibus also reaches Piazza Garibaldi in about 20 minutes for 5 euros, and a taxi to the same square is a fixed 15.50 euros.
- On foot, the historic centre is 10 to 15 minutes from the terminal. Napoli Centrale is about 3 km away and takes 35 to 40 minutes.
- On Friday and Saturday nights the corridor to the port exit at Municipio closes at 22:00, so on the way back to the ship after that, leave by the main exit and walk across the square.
- Ask for the tariffa predeterminata before you set off in a taxi, and keep the receipt.
- ANM lists line 1 times at the end of the line, so a train at Municipio leaves a few minutes after the times shown.
